My Appointment to the Health and Social Care Committee

I’m delighted to have been appointed to the Health and Social Care Committee in the Senedd.

Thank you to my colleagues for the opportunity. I’m looking forward to getting to work and helping to scrutinise the decisions that affect health and social care services across Wales.

As part of the Committee, I will be involved in:

• Examining new Welsh laws linked to health and social care

• Holding the Welsh Government to account

• Scrutinising Welsh Government spending

• Questioning Ministers, NHS bodies, councils, charities and experts

• Taking evidence from the public and organisations

• Running inquiries into major issues

• Publishing reports and recommendations

• Following up on whether action has been taken

I will continue to be a strong voice for Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion, making sure local concerns are heard in Cardiff Bay
